Asim Aamir (born on 10 April 1995 in Tordher, District Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan) is a dedicated Mechanical Engineer and emerging researcher whose work straddles the intersection of sustainable energy solutions and advanced computational modeling. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemical Engineering at The Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), where his research focuses on the multi-scale modeling of CO2 capture in Bubbling Fluidized Bed Reactors—an effort at the forefront of mitigating climate change through innovative energy technologies. Prior to his current academic endeavor, Asim earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang, Indonesia. Over the course of more than three years of academic and research experience, he has honed expertise in fields such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), biomass conversion, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. His scholarly contributions include over eight published papers in reputable international journals, including Chemical Physics Letters and the International Journal of Thermo-fluids, with additional manuscripts presently under review. His technical proficiency extends to software tools like MATLAB, Ansys, and SolidWorks, reflecting a well-rounded skill set suited to both theoretical investigation and practical engineering design. Beyond the laboratory and the classroom, Asim’s enthusiasm for bridging research with real-world applications underscores his broader professional goal: to contribute meaningfully to global engineering challenges. Outside of his professional work, he finds enjoyment in PC gaming, cricket, and reading widely in Mechanical Engineering and CFD, demonstrating a balanced blend of intellectual curiosity and recreational interests.
